Putt Putt Boats!

What are they?

Small alcohol powered steam boats, also called "Pop Pop" or Jet boats. Named after the sound emanating from the "engine". Originally created to amuse children, they require devoted attention by adults for proper operation and are now a integral part of the New Providence ARC Summer Picnic!

The Pop Pop Pages is a great site for more information, including history, technology, instructions for building your own, or for buying one. American Science and Surplus has a kit, for example (do a search for it on their home page)..

And after you get your own, you'll definitely need the NPARC Putt Putt Regatta Rules.

(Well, actually you don't need a boat to enjoy the rules!)
