NPARC Meeting notes: Monday, February 13, 2017

           AE2JP,N2FYE,K2JV,K2UI,K2YG, Henry Keppler.
1. We welcomed Lee, KD2DRS and Henry Keppler as guests. Henry is interested in geTting his ham ticket. 
   Barry, K2JV, suggested that Henry take the practice exams on the QRZ website. 
   And WA2MPG renewed his club membership for 2017...thank you.
2. W2PTP discussed progress on the NPARC Auction:
   A. K2AL sent out the auction flyer via the updated auction email list. W2PTP reports that he has heard
      reports on several repeaters that the emails have been received.
   B. K2AL to email the flyer to the Fair Lawn Amateur Radio Club.
   B. K2JV has printed the auction tickets.
   C. The food prices will be same as last year. Stu, N2YMI, will be managing the food crew again this year.
      The logistics of picking up the food was discussed. 
3. The meeting presentation was then given by K2UI. Jim expounded on his recent Spark Gaps article,"Loading Coil Magic",
   regarding methods of shortening antenna lengths while maximizing bandwidth and obtaining optimum SWR in the 
   desired band slots.
   
Rest of meeting was spent ragchewing, drinking coffee and enjoying Norma Cohen's delicious banana bread.
