NPARC Meeting notes: Monday, March 13, 2017
Time start: 7:30 PM
Location: Senior Center/DeCorso Center, East 4th St, New Providence, NJ
1. We welcomed K2SO, Steve Ostrove, who is running for NNJ Section Manager. Steve is our current NNJ SM.
   Steve has been licensed since 1962, has held many emergency posts and has been active in AREC/ARES.

   Steve also mentioned that the League is considering proposing a new entry class license. Info and a survey can be found on the ARRL website.
2. M0MKB, Bharat,renewed his club membership for 2017...thank you!
3. KC2ONL, a recent new club member, just upgraded to General Class. Congratulations, Phil.
4. Bill Hudzik, W2UDT, explained how, as an ARRL Affiliated Club, NPARC can reduce the cost of outgoing QSL's by pooling members' QSL cards and sending them to the Bureau in "bulk" for
   a single fee rather than paying individually. Paul, W2PTP, has detailed the instructions for this Outgoing QSL benefit on a Reflector email.
   Sam, KC2OSR, has volunteered to be the QSL coordinator for the club.
5. At our next meeting on March 27, Bob, K2GLS, will present how he put K2UI's antenna "Loading Coil Magic" theories to practical use and the interesting result.
    
  
Rest of meeting was spent ragchewing, drinking coffee and again,enjoying Norma Cohen's home baked goodies.
